Archaeology is important, kids Why are you reading this?

So, I've been tearing my hair out for the past two weeks trying to wrestle with an obnoxious program called "Camtasia." This semester I am a TA for an Archaeology 202 class at Texas A&M University, and one of my tasks is to record every day's lecture, convert it to flash format on my home computer (a process that takes over 6 hours), upload it to a server, and then post a link on a university site called WebCT. However, not only is Camtasia a spastic, unpredictable program, but Web CT was apparently designed by sadists with no concept of human thought patterns. Incidentally, I can't upload anything to Web CT bigger then 5 megs, which is about 2% of the file size I need to upload.

The long and short of it is: I've had to temporarily post important class materials on our web-comic server, which makes me exceptionally nervous. This means that, out of the 180 students in this class, the chance of at least one of them getting adventurous and checking out what is at "dansedansemacabre.net" is basically 100%. In fact, I know some of them are probably reading this right now. For those lucky people, I have the following message:

Why are you here? Shouldn't you be going through the readings? I know you haven't even touched any of the books yet. In fact, I can trace your IP and find out who is wasting time when they should be studying, and adjust your grades accordingly. Get to work, you lazy cretin!

My Mood Today: Sad :-(

Posted on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 9:25 pm by Josh

I think I'll try to keep the news short today. Why? Read the title, dipshit! I'm fucking sad! God damn, are you blind? Fuck.

Actually, I'm not really sad at all... I'm mostly just irritable and surly for no apparent reason... possibly as a result of spending too much time on the something awful forums. To commemmorate my current mood, I've created the following in photoshop:

Harry Potter vs. Terrorist!

I feel better already!
