Alex is out of town this week

Some of you may have noticed an archaeology-theme over this past week of comics. This is basically because Alex is on vacation, and refuses to provide me with any comic-related materials, meaning I have to write them myself... and since I'm not feeling especially creative right now, they are basically all about archaeology (since I am an archaeologist, this is quite a stretch for me). My hope is that these comics will be mediocre enough that Alex will think again before he puts me in charge of writing comics again!

From what I've heard, he is apparently gallivanting around the San Juan islands of Washington, and is enjoying numerous activities, such as eating, sleeping, and riding a tiny motorcycle. The most interesting thing he has told me so far about San Juan is that there are apparently a lot of homeless people. He says that one was about to try talking to him the other day, but instead involuntarily belched and farted while simultaneously shouting "HEY!" This left the homeless man sort of disoriented and embarrassed, so he gave up his attempts to beg for money before they really ever began. This is the saddest story I've ever heard.
