Welcome, one and all! I was thinking today, and I suddenly realized that I have yet to hear ANYTHING from a single reader, be it good or bad or indifferent. Absolutely nothing, which is strange, since my stats show a least 100 people a day look at the damn thing. In a way, actually, I think I feel more motivated then I would if I suspected there were people actually reading this. I would get all self conscious and feel all put-upon and schizophrenic like how I got with my previous comic, or like how that men-in-hats guy got... and he had a GOOD comic. My theory for the complete lack of input of any kind is probably one of the following: 1) DDM is somehow a completely neutral comic, causing readers to neither feel amusement, nor disgust, nor even vague annoyance... only a complete mental void. I like to think that such intellectual nullification works to calm and sooth the average reader, causing him/her a short moment of mental bliss before they move on to their hum-drum workaday-world of surfing the tiresome and treacherous information superhighway. 2) My email provider (a.k.a. Texas A&M University) is conspiring against me, deleting all useful emails while leaving the ones about jingoistic arm-pumping aggie-pride, and how I should lend my support to various causes, such as "pretend Texas isn't racist" week, "Annihilate rival sports team" rallies, and "Texas A&M aggies really aren't bigoted fucks, please believe us" bake sales. 3) Every single one of my hits is from my mom staring at the home page and hitting the refresh button over and over and over for hours on end. 4) Nobody can figure out where I hid the email-button. Here's a tip: its NOT the "fart button." Don't press that thing, it doesn't even fart.
