Sonic Sprite-stravaganza!

Hello there.  Back when I had my old site (which I don't feel like linking to right now) I had a feature called "The Webcomics Roundup."  The premise was that I would "review" the ten comics ahead of mine on Top Web Comics and basically say they were stupid and shitty.

It was astounding.  My rating skyrocketed.  I was getting more hits than I had ever gotten, meaning like 250 a day instead of 2.  I eventually got tired of reading shitty anime furry stick figure gamerz comics and "quit the biz," as executive insiders often say.  I also say this apparently because I'm a cool guy.

Well, things have developed.  People are STILL sending me emails about the Webcomics Roundup after having googled themselves almost a year and half after my last go at it, and what's more, they want me to do MORE.

Anyway, after thinking about it/basically not doing anything useful for half a year, I have decided to give it another go.  I'm not registered on any Top Web Comics crap or anything, so I'm just picking comics at random.  Here goes!

Sonic And Pals

I have a few problems with this site.
-It's another GODDAMN Sonic the Hedgehog comic
-It's a sprite comic
-The author of the site is running a donation so that he can pay for his fiancee to move to the US from Slovakia
-This donation has somehow earned $1850

I would be willing to give this guy a pass, since usually this sort of stuff just screams "I'm 14 years old and I'll grow out of this in probably a year and learn to play the guitar," but the guy is getting MARRIED?
Plus, every comic has a "commentary" below it, clearly marked "commentary" so you know that it's a "commentary" and not something other than a "commentary."  Basically it explains exactly what happens in the comic every day, in case anyone read the comic and said to themselves "Hey, I wonder what that comic was about, I sure wish there was a brief explanation so I could avoid actually reading it."  Basically this is what Josh used to do with our comics, except Josh is actually funny SOMETIMES.

COMMENTARY: Here we see Knuckles sulking.  Sonic, on the other hand, is acting like a moron as usual.  Knuckles once again swears that he will get his revenge, but I have no worries.

COMMENTARY: Obviously Knuckles is mad.  I mean, if you tried to kill someone and then someone saved them in the nick of time, wouldn't you be mad??  And the murderous thoughts were pointed towards Tails, not Sonic (although some though were probably directed to him). Also a bit of foreshadowing by Sonic, which isn't something Sonic usually does due to his numerically challenged I.Q.

THANKS FOR THE INSIGHT, CHAP.

WHY sprite comics, by the way?  I understand that you have problems drawing, but there are many other PERFECTLY legitimate alternatives to stealing images from a video game and posting them on the internet.  One of these alternatives is to NOT MAKE COMICS.

The Sonic Comic, Inc.

Oh hey, more Sonic comics?  Who knew?  Maybe this time they won't be sprite comics!

Oh shit.

The Mystical Forest Zone

Okay, WHY are you people doing this?  It's obvious that this guy in particular can draw, but why Sonic?  And why SPRITE comics?  Plus he's apparently drawn so many Sonic comics that he has to divide his site up into multiple hard-to-navigate archives.  Digging through his site is like trying to dig up treasure in your back yard, but all you can find is a box with a dead cat's skeleton inside.

OH HA HA HE FOUND A CHILDREN'S BOOK ON THE DOOM 2 BOOKSHELF THAT'S RICH

Oh, the drama!  Sonic the Hedgehog tried to kill Sonic the Hedgehog with his magic powers (just like in the game!) but it looks like Sonic the Hedgehog is immortal and cannot be defeated by his arch rival, Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic Logic

Okay, I seriously just typed "sonic" into the search bar of Top Web Comics and got like 300 results.  Here's one of them.

I absolutely can not say "pwn3d" and would never try.
Also, see that ENORMOUS copyright bar at the bottom?  PLEASE DON'T SUE ME SEGA!

Now he's doing a Halo/Red vs. Blue parody, except that the humor has been replaced with confusion and sickness.  Also check out that copyright bar!  Even MORE text!  DON'T SUE ME SEGA AND MICROSOFT AND RED VS. BLUE AND BUNGIE!

Also apparently if you vote for the comic, you get to see a SECRET strip!  Since I don't want any of you even thinking about voting for this comic, I took one for the team and did it for you.  You can thank me later.

See the character in that last self-depricating panel?  That's me.

How many more comics are there about Sonic?  Well, for starters there's Fatal Gear Sonic, Sonic XD, Sonic Style, Sonic Asylum2, Sonic LIVE, Sonic Journey: The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Wacky Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Realm, Sonic Crack Ups, Sonic Sprite Comic (truth in advertising), Sonic Adventure 0 (it has a zero at the end for obvious reasons), Sonic and Tails S.P, PSonic: Emerald Saga, Super Sonic Extreme, Sonic's Phsyco Life (sic), Sonic Da Comic, Sonic Slam, soup sonic, The Sonic Comic, Sonic Waker, the sonic thing, Sonic Rush Z, Sonic RPG, The Sonic Universe, Sonic Frenzy, Sonic and Tails Sega Plasmos, Sonic Genesis, SonicZone, and Sonic Quest.  They're all pretty much the same comic, they all have pretty much the same stale sense of humor, and they all have enormous archives sections that are impossible to penetrate.

Anyway, that's all the comics for this week!  If you have a particular comic you would like "reviewed," shoot me an email and I promise I will give it the same three-and-a-half minutes I gave the rest of these comics.

DO YOU DARE EMAIL ME?!
